Genital warts result from the transmission of a sexually transmitted virus; human papillomavirus (HPV). As the French name (les verrues génitales) suggests, genital warts are shaped like small growths resembling rooster combs. They appear around the vagina, penis or anus. Genital warts are usually painless, but are particularly unsightly and can be sources of frustration and embarrassment.

These warts are sexually transmitted and are spread through physical contact, especially during vaginal and anal interaction, or through sharing sex toys. It is, therefore, essential to not have sex with an affected person.

There is no definitive cure for HPV. However, after a while, most of the affected people destroy the virus themselves. The treatments for genital warts are antiviral and help the body fight the virus.

Podophyllotoxin is the main active agent in Condyline. It is a natural ingredient from the podophyllum plant. It helps fight the virus by attacking and weakening the virus cells, thus stopping it from spreading.

What is Condyline?

Condyline is an effective solution for treating genital warts. The medicine contains podophyllotoxin, a substance developed from the Indian plant Podophyllum. Condyline acts directly and locally on the warts by preventing the disease from spreading to healthy skin. The cream is applied directly to the genital warts.

Genital warts are contagious and can be transmitted through contact with the skin. Infected patients with genital warts, or condyloma, must promptly notify their partner(s). Even if the wart is invisible it is still possible to be infected; in this case, early treatment with Condyline may diminish its effects. The majority of genital warts are spread by sexual contact. The best solution to protect yourself from this disease is to use condoms during sexual intercourse. We also recommend that you undergo regular testing if you conduct risky sexual practices.

The Condyline solution aims to act effectively on genital warts by reducing the sensation of pain associated with the disease. By using the solution, patients prevent warts from growing on the healthy skin. After three days of use, patients begin to feel the first effects of the solution. According to clinical studies, warts disappear after a month of taking the solution. Condyline appears to be the most effective treatment against genital warts in adults and the elderly, however, the drug is not suitable for children.

What is a genital wart?

Genital warts come from the transmission of a sexually transmitted virus, namely, the human papillomavirus PHV). As the name suggests, genital warts are growths positioned on the genitals of men and women. They can form on the penis, vagina and anus. Despite popular belief, genital warts do not cause any pain. However, they are unsightly and abnormal, and in many cases, genital warts provide a sense of shame, embarrassment and frustration.

Human Papillomavirus is a sexually transmitted infection that can be transmitted during vaginal and anal intercourse. The exchange of sex toys can also cause transmission of HPV.

Although a definitive treatment for human papillomavirus does not actually exist, the infected cells are naturally destroyed by the metabolism after some time, generally several months. Antiviral drugs contained in medical treatments as Condyline help the body fight the virus.

Condyline contains the active ingredient Podophyllotoxin

Podophyllotoxin—an agent with antiviral properties—is the principal agent of Condyline. It has a natural origin since it comes from the roots of the Podophyllum plant. Podophyllotoxin can also be synthesised from the combination of certain chemical agents. Since podophyllotoxin was discovered in the 1930s, many of its properties have been updated, including its anti-carcinogenic properties.

When applied to genital warts, podophyllotoxin infiltrates the virus cells and prevents them from dividing and expanding their presence. When they can no longer grow, the cells disappear and are replaced by healthy cells.
